The Ethiopian Women’s Association of Greater Philadelphia (EWAGP)’s mission is to empower women and girls to achieve their dreams through mentorship, career access, and opportunities that turn aspirations into tangible realities.

The Ethiopian Women’s Association of Greater Philadelphia was established by a dedicated team of women committed to serving and uplifting the community:

Goals

The Ethiopian Women’s Association of Greater Philadelphia (EWAGP )’s empowers women and girls to achieve their dreams through mentorship, career access, and opportunities that turn aspirations into tangible realities. To date, the association has successfully hosted a variety of initiatives, including:

– Health and Wellness: Cancer awareness workshops, health talks featuring guest speakers, and liver health screenings conducted by specialists.
– Community Events: Annual picnic fundraisers featuring Ethiopian cuisine and Mother’s Day celebrations.
– Entertainment: Hosting cultural events and comedians for community engagement.

We are proud to share that the association has grown significantly and currently has over 75 active members.
