Who We Are

Established in 2014, the Ethio-Philly Young Adults Association (EPYAA) is a vibrant community organization dedicated to mentoring and empowering the next generation of Habesha leaders in Philadelphia. Our members, primarily Ethiopian and Eritrean young adults, come together to celebrate their heritage, foster community bonds, and drive positive change.

Mission

EPYAA’s mission is to empower Ethiopian and Eritrean youth in Philadelphia through cultural awareness, community building, resource allocation, and youth empowerment. We aim to create a supportive environment where young adults can thrive personally and collectively.

Goals

  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to young adults navigating personal and professional development.
  • Cultural Preservation: Celebrate and preserve Ethiopian and Eritrean traditions within the diaspora.
  • Community Engagement: Foster strong connections among members and with the broader Philadelphia community.
  • Resource Allocation: Connect members with educational, health, and employment resources.
